Save the Date: "Behavioral Economics for Better Products" at Last Thursday Talks

Last Thursday Talks is hosting our presentation and workshop “Behavioral Economics for Better Products” on 28 May. Participation is free.

8. Mai 2020
Elizabeth Immer, MPhil

Lead Behavioral Customer Experience, Consultant

Remo Bebié Gut, MSc

Lead Business Intelligence & Innovation, Consultant

What's happening?

A talk and workshop: What is behavioral economics, other than a buzzword (or for others, a vague or dusty scientific term)? How can product designers (here are meant all involved in creating a product, including designers, UXlers, developers, product or project managers and even CEOs and CTOs) use behavioral economics to make consequentially better products? With real-life examples from their work at the Ergonomen, Elizabeth and Remo will bring the buzzword concept of "behavioral economics" closer to home, so attendees can start to make use of the discipline to enrich their products. Participants will learn and directly apply key heuristics and fallacies to touchpoints to solve the case.

This talk is part of UX Schweiz’s long-running series “Last Thursday Talks” and will be held remotely. Sign-up will be available on Meetup, spaces are limited. We’ll post the sign-up link here and on our LinkedIn page, too. More about the Last Thursday Talks: https://uxschweiz.ch/events/last-thursday-talks/#top

When?

Thursday, 28 May 2020.

Who?

  • Elizabeth Immer helps companies tackle some of their most stymieing people-related challenges. She seeks to answer the questions "Why do people do what they do (in this situation)? How can we intentionally design processes and products to help people to do 'better' with the lightest possible touch and without harm or punishment?" Elizabeth has a background in behavioral economics (scientific research and applied behavioral sciences) and product management with experience in the US, Australia, the Gulf Region and Switzerland.
  • Remo Bebié Gut works with his clients from his perch at The Ergonomen to apply behavioral economics to product and process design. He loves being surprised and figuring out why people do (economically) irrational things. The tricky and most exciting bit for him is finding ways to motivate people to then change their behavior to achieve better outcomes. Remo has a background in Economics, Communications, and Start-Up entrepreneurship. He has mostly worked out of London and Zurich (his native city).
