New CEO at The Ergonomen Usability AG

Marc Bloch Sommer joined The Ergonomen as CEO on 1 June 2020, taking over from Lukas Bänninger.

1. June 2020

We are pleased to announce that Marc Bloch Sommer took the reins as CEO of The Ergonomen Usability as of 1 June 2020. Most recently, Marc led Swisslex, a software firm and Switzerland’s leading online legal information platform, for 10 years. Prior to his tenure at Swisslex, he practiced as an attorney in various positions. From 2016 to 2020 Marc also served as a board member and start-up coach at the Swiss LegalTech Association.

"His experience as manager of a software company, his expertise in the field of digitalization, his broad usability know-how in the B2B world and his many years of management experience make Marc Bloch Sommer the ideal choice to succeed Lukas Bänninger, who is leaving the Ergonomen at his own initiative. Lukas has decided to tackle something completely new professionally outside of Switzerland and is emigrating to Amsterdam with his family. We wish him all the best for this great adventure," says Dr. Christopher Müller, Ergonomen Founder and Chairman of the Board.

Marc Bloch Sommer’s mandate as CEO includes the further development and management of the firm's strategy, expansion of market position and fostering a healthy growth trajectory.

To his new challenge, Marc shares: "I am very pleased to start this journey with a highly professional, motivated and passionately committed team.”

We wish Marc a good start and all the best for this exciting journey ahead.
