Just a few years ago, companies typically used to conduct usability tests on one specific product and as one-time intervention. Nowadays, the user’s view is more fundamentally included into the product development. Numerous companies already include customer experience design in their service offering. The Ergonomen have been pursuing and promoting this so-called strategic user experience approach since founding the company in 2009.
The Usability test enables experiencing usability – for developers, designers, decision-makers as well as the Ergonomists. The experience of use is the basis for our pragmatic and feasible suggestions for optimization, for new concepts and for an efficient quality assurance from the user’s point of view.
Agile project management methods are used more and more. A well lead Scrum process that is based on clear and comprehensible user stories is highly efficient and produces good results fast. And if the users' point of view is introduced consistently in the development of the graphical user interface, the chances are good that the end result will be usable, will match the user requirements and - as the main benefit - will reduce cost, time needed for the development and a lot of nerves. Thanks to clear goals and comprehensible descriptions of user requirements, system requirements and specs, the project's chances of success are much improved.
