FAQ

I'm not sure if my profile fits the job description. What should I do?

No problem. In practice, we are not guided by rigid professional roles anyway. Nobody is "just designer" or "just tester" at the Ergonomen.

Apply anyway. Together we will find out how you can best contribute and develop your skills.

How does the application process work?

Usually we start with an exchange by phone to get to know your motivation and expectations and to introduce you to the Ergonomen.

If we both feel that we have a good fit, we will invite you to visit us. You will then present a prepared case study, solve subject-related tasks and ask us any questions that are important to you. You will also have the opportunity to talk to team members if you wish.

If we both still feel good about each other, we will discuss the terms of the contract and "close the deal." This all usually happens quite quickly because we have short decision-making paths.

How important is the command of German?

Speaking and understanding German is a prerequisite.  German is the language in which we communicate most frequently with our clients and even more so with end customers and users. But knowledge of foreign languages is always welcome!

Can I work part-time?

Some our staff work part-time. The minimum workload should be about 80%.

Do the Ergonomen have firm working hours?

On Mondays we have core working hours on site. On the remaining days we leave it to common sense where and when you and your colleagues work together. And we also need to adapt to the needs of the projects and our customers.

Agency = overtime culture?

We may have "peaks" from time to time, but we don't see overtime as a grounds for pride and profiling, but rather as cause for compensation.

Do you offer internships?

We offer internships in cases where we see a long-term common perspective that goes beyond the internship.
